According to archaeology, the world's oldest known written record was written on clay tablets, using cuneiform script by the Sumerians, approximately 5,000 years ago. What was this very first written record of the world, known as the Uruk Tablets, actually about? The answer is "trade"...

The Uruk Tablets were official accounting records written to record temple economies, grain and livestock inventories, tax records, and the quantities of trade goods. Humanity's oldest known literary work on the other hand, is the ''Epic of Gilgamesh'', which was written almost 1,000 years after the Uruk Tablets.

As can be easily understood from this example, writing was invented due to economic and commercial necessities and was used to manage state order. Its literary, philosophical, and scientific uses could only begin centuries later.

The transmission of knowledge is the fundamental dynamic that ensures the uninterrupted progress of civilization. If knowledge could not be transmitted, every generation would have to rediscover fire, repeat the mistakes of the past and social memory would be reset.

The essence of life is to survive and adapt. Without the transmission of knowledge, neither biological life nor human civilization could even exist. Therefore, the transmission of knowledge is both the engine and the insurance of life.

With the intention of preventing past mistakes from being repeated, accumulating experience and making a contribution—even if just a grain of salt—to civilization; I want to share my business experiences, readings and thoughts gained along my entrepreneurial journey, with humanity on this blog.
